mp3 son qui saute, flv pas d'image et pas de son

Pour ma part les mp3 semblent bien fonctionner par contre j'ai aussi des problèmes avec les flv.
Pour youtube j'ai la video mais le son est saccadé, pour dailymotion le flux ne se lance pas et j'ai le message d'erreur.
Pour info je fonctionne avec une ubuntu 9.04, HomePlayer-1.5.8a, VLC media player 0.9.9a Grishenko.

Dans les deux cas les videos sont lues sans problèmes avec vlc sur le pc.
Quelqu'un a une idée ?
